Bavarian State Opera
The Bavarian State Opera is one of the world's leading opera houses and can proudly look back on a history spanning more than 350 years. With around 600,000 guests attending over 300 events each year, the Bavarian State Opera makes a significant contribution to Munich's reputation as one of the great international cities of culture. Within one season, over 45 operas from five centuries and more than 20 ballets from the 19th century to the present day are performed, as well as concerts and recitals. This makes the Bavarian State Opera's program one of the most diverse of any international opera house. With 2,101 seats, the classicist National Theatre is the largest opera house in Germany and is considered one of the most beautiful theaters in Europe.
